Christina Aguilera Apologizes For Star-Mangled Banner

Christina Aguilera is apologizing after she flubbed a line during her performance of the National Anthem before the Super Bowl. In a statement posted on the pop star’s website regarding the mistake, Aguilera said, “I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through.” She also explained that she got so, “caught up in the moment” that she lost her place in the song.

“USA Today” reports that fellow Super Bowl performer Fergie defended Aguilera on Dan Patrick’s radio show Monday morning. Fergie, who performed with her group the Black Eyed Peas during the game’s halftime show, said she understood what Aguilera was going through. She explained, “It’s such a huge venue, your nerves take hold of you…. We’re human.”

Texting while driving is dangerous, but texting while walking can make you wet! This woman might have been typing out some hot “sexts” at the mall because she falls right into a fountain and then gets out like nothing happened. Fail!
