Britney Spears’ “Till The World Ends” Debuts In Top Ten

Britney Spears now has her second top ten debut of the year. “Till the World Ends,” the second single from her “Femme Fatale” album, bowed at number ten this week on the “Billboard” Digital Songs chart. Spears’ previous single, “Hold It Against Me,” entered the chart at number one back in January. “Femme Fatale” is due out March 29th. Elsewhere on this week’s chart, Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” continues to hold the top spot for the third consecutive week while Jennifer Lopez’s “On the Floor” climbs from number three to two thanks in part to the debut of her music video on “American Idol” last Thursday. Rihanna and Kesha also climb the chart this week while Katy Perry and Adele both lose ground. If for some reason you haven’t heard Britney’s newest single, here it is for your listening enjoyment:

Lady Gaga’s Fame Monster Tops Worldwide Sales Chart

Lady Gaga has yet another accolade to add to her list of accomplishments in 2010. The pop star’s album “The Fame Monster” has topped this year’s United World Chart. The chart is a list of the best-selling albums worldwide, as compiled by the German Web site Media Traffic. According to the website, “The Fame Monster” sold a total of five-point-eight million copies to top the chart. It was followed by Eminem’s “Recovery” which sold five-point-seven million copies, and Justin Bieber’s “My World” and “My World 2.0,” which sold a combined total of five-point-six million copies.

Gaga was also named “Billboard” magazine’s Artist of the Year and came in at number 14 on “Forbes” magazine’s list of Hollywood’s 20 Highest Earners, raking in 62-million dollars this year. She also earned six GRAMMY nominations, including Album Of The Year.

The Prodigy is topping a new poll conducted by PRS For Music seeking the most controversial song of all time. The group is leading the way with “Smack My B**** Up.” The video for the track was relegated to late night viewing on MTV at the time of its release, but remains one of the most discussed clips of all time. Lady Gaga, Eminem Nominated for Four People’s Choice Awards

It could be a big night for Lady Gaga at next year’s People’s Choice Awards. The pop megastar has picked up four nominations for next January’s ceremony. Gaga is joined by Katy Perry, Pink, Taylor Swift, and Carrie Underwood in the Favorite Female Artist category. She will also take on Beyonce, Katy Perry, Pink and Rihanna for Favorite Pop Artist. Lady Gaga’s hit single “Telephone” will also look to lay claim to Favorite Song and Favorite Music Video. Fellow pop stars Justin Bieber and Usher are also up for multiple awards, while Britney Spears is nominated for Favorite TV Guest Star for her participation in the hit Fox sitcom “Glee.”

Rap superstar Eminem is also up for four awards at next year’s ceremony. The rapper will compete against Enrique Iglesias, Michael Buble, Tim McGraw and Usher for Favorite Male Artist, while also taking on Drake, Jay-Z, Ludacris, and Snoop Dogg for Favorite Hip-Hop Artist. Eminem’s hit Rihanna collaboration “Love The Way You Lie” will also be competing for Favorite Music Video and Favorite Song. The 2011 People’s Choice Awards will be hosted by actress Queen Latifah and handed out on January 5th during a ceremony in Los Angeles. Fans can place their vote by visiting PeoplesChoice.com. Voting in most categories will come to a close on December 7th.

Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber Win Big at MTV EMAs

Lady Gaga continues to prove why she’s one of the world’s biggest musical stars. The pop superstar led the way at Sunday night’s MTV Europe Music Awards, taking home three trophies. Gaga won for Best Pop and Best Female, while her hit single “Bad Romance” claimed Best Song. Fellow pop singer Justin Bieber also won multiple awards on Sunday, picking up the Best Male and Best Push Act awards. Pop diva Katy Perry won Best Video for her hit “California Gurls,” while Kesha walked away with Best New Act. Rap superstar Eminem was also a winner Sunday evening. He was awarded the trophy for Best Hip-Hop act.

Hosted by “Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria, the 2010 MTV EMAs took place in Madrid, Spain. Acts like B.o.B., Kid Rock, Shakira, Bon Jovi, and Kings of Leon were also on hand for performances.
