Charlie Sheen To Return To CBS?

22 Mar

Charlie Sheen may really be “winning” his fight against his former employers. Reports are circulating that CBS has offered Sheen his job back on “Two and a Half Men,” two weeks after his dismissal. Citing sources close to the actor, Jeff Rossen of “NBC News” announced via Twitter that discussions are ongoing, but added that the offer is not yet a done deal. RadarOnline.com reported earlier that CBS President and CEO Les Moonves had been speaking with executives at Warner Bros who fired Sheen for his disclosure of drug use, among other things. Sheen has filed a $100 million lawsuit against the studio for wrongful dismissal.

Meantime, Fox is also looking to bring Charlie into the fold. According to Deadline.com, reps for the network have confirmed that Sheen met with several top executives last Thursday in what was described as an “exploratory meeting” set up by Fox Sports. No word on the discussions that took place, but Sheen, who is known to be an avid baseball fan, has become a major draw on Fox Sports Radio programs in recent weeks. Either way, the crazy Mr Sheen is bound to be WINNING…DUH!

Sheen Endorses Rob Lowe As Possible Sitcom Replacement

10 Mar

Actor Rob Lowe is reportedly on the short list of candidates to replace Charlie Sheen on “Two and a Half Men,” and Sheen seems to be okay with the idea. The fired sitcom star told Los Angeles radio station K-Earth 101 on Wednesday, quote, “He’s a buddy of mine, he’s a beautiful man, a brilliant actor, and I hope he does it and kicks its ass because I still get paid.” People.com says “Two and a Half Men” producers are in talks with Lowe to join the series. John Stamos is also said to be under consideration, though CBS has not officially announced its plans for the future of the series following Charlie’s ouster this week.

In the same interview with K-Earth, Sheen also semi-apologized to former “Two and a Half Men” co-star Jon Cryer for calling him a “troll.” He said, “I was in a mood, and I threw that out there. It’s a half apology – it’s an apol!” Marin Hinkle, who plays Cryer’s ex-wife on the show, says the situation is very upsetting for the whole cast. She tells E! News, “It’s so sad that this may be the end of something amazing all because of a lot of ego-fighting and pain, and obviously the sad condition of Charlie’s health.”

Charlie Sheen Wants To PLay “Major League” Baseball Again

22 Feb

While waiting the go ahead to resume production on his hit sitcom “Two and a Half Men,” Charlie Sheen is reportedly eyeing a return to the big screen in a “major” way. The rehabbing actor tells TMZ he’ll be back on board for a third installment of his baseball comedy “Major League,” if the script gets the green light. Sheen played Ricky “Wild Thing” Vaughn in the original 1989 movie and its subsequent sequel. And although “Major League: Back to the Minors” is technically the third film in the franchise, Sheen dismisses it as, “an abortion,” saying it shouldn’t be counted among the rest of the “Major League” films.

David S. Ward, who wrote and produced the first “Major League,” told “Moviehole” last year that he was hoping to reassemble the original cast for the film he’s calling “Major League 3.” The original film also included Wesley Snipes and Tom Berenger. Sheen’s CBS sitcom “Two and a Half Men” is currently on hiatus while the actor deals with personal issues. Production will reportedly resume on February 28th.
