9/11 Banned Songs

Of course, today marks the 9th anniversary of 9/11. While the events of that day were tragic, can we laugh a little now?

A few days after 9/11, Clear Channel banned this list of 165 songs because they thought they could be considered inappropriate in the event of what had just happened. Some make sense like, “It’s the End of the World as We Know It (And I Feel Fine)” or “Leaving On a Jetplane (Don’t Know When I’ll Be Back Again).” On the other hand, some are ridiculous! “99 Red Balloons?” “What a Wonderful World?” Take a look at the list of all the songs and see what you think after the jump.
